MTB Team RACERSThomas Litscher

At the end of 2012, Thomas Litscher was in 39th position in the UCI world ranking. This does not reflect the true strength of 2011’s under 23 World Cross Country champion, as the young Swiss rider faced a tough start and end of season. After strong performances at international races in Cyprus, Litscher crashed hard and lost precious weeks of training as a consequence. Thomas had to leave his season early due to returning saddle sores as well. Meanwhile, he managed to score a top15 finish at Mont Sainte-Anne’s Worldcup race, win the first Swiss championships in the new Cross Country eliminator format and finish in 3rd at the last race of the hotly contested Swiss Cross Country series in Muttenz. As a strong rider with good bike handling skills, Thomas Litscher excels on technical courses with steady changes of rhythm and also shines in Cross Country eliminator races. As part of the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM, he wants to follow in José Hermida’s footsteps and one day add an elite-level World championship title to his record.
