hardtail Mountainbikes - Kids

Small wheels, big changes. Similar to what happens when kids go through their first bikes, developing such bikes is also a process of learning. While our HARDY line-up approaches the new season relatively unchanged compared with the previous year, the kids- and youth-bikes of the former DAKAR family have been largely refined. The most obvious change being a new name, the MATTS JUNIOR models are completely new developments with up-to-date child oriented geometries. Our MERIDA R&D experts have accomplished to tailor these bikes to youngsters better than ever before.

Already the youngest riders benefit from the revised geometries of the 12-inch entry models. The distance between saddle and handlebar is now shorter, the latter better to reach. Plus, the lower top-tube and the resulting lower standover height make it much easier for little rookies to feel safe and confident while exploring their world.

That’s what we provide to make these first trips happy ones – and to make parents happy as well. All models are available as “Boy” or “Girl” versions, distinguished not only by color but also even lower top-tubes for the “Girl” models. MATTS JUNIOR 20- and 24-inch bikes now also feature single ring set-ups. Plus, their suspension forks are now even better and smoother performing air-versions – a great benefit for light riders.

Take a look at what ebike-mtb.com said about the MERIDA eONE-SIXTY 900e

With the eONE-SIXTY we reckon MERIDA could write the E-MTB handbook! The geometry is sorted, the spec ticks all the finest boxes, and they’ve built it around the market’s current best motor. No other bike in the test fleet rode as impressively as the eONE-SIXTY on the technical trails, while still convincing the test riders of its merit on leisurely rides. Then there’s its screaming value for money, which can only mean one thing: the eONE-SIXTY rolls off with not only the Test Win but also our Best Value Tip! The winner takes it all!
